
Aloysius Taidin, 43, is just a rubber tapper earning RM40 per day but whenever he visits the main towns in Sabah, people would greet and request for a photo with him. It is because the man from Kampung Kebatang Baru in Keningau bears an uncanny resemblance to Filipino professional boxer Manny Pacquiao. Taidin said people often mistaken him for Pacquiao due to the similar smile, hair and beard style. "In 2010, I was watching a fight of Pacquiao in a restaurant and after the match ended, a Singaporean man came to my table and said, 'I really look like the boxer'," Taidin recalled the first time he was told of the resemblance. "I didn't believe him at first because that was the first time I watched Pacquiao's fight, but when I went home and looked into the mirror, I realised the man was right!" he said.

Actress Rozita Che Wan, fondly known as Che Ta, has requested for time from the Inland Revenue Board to settle her outstanding tax debt. She denied that she avoided paying taxes, and said the amount was too huge that she could not settle it all at once. Che Ta recently revealed in a statement that she could not bring her two-year-old daughter Aaisyah Dhia Rana to London for her birthday because she had been barred from leaving the country. The 43-year-old celebrity has hired a tax agent to handle the matter.

Malaysian singer-songwriter Michael Wong Guang Liang held a gathering with badminton Olympics silver medallists Chan Peng Soon and Goh V-Shem in Taipei, Taiwan. Each posted a picture of them hanging out at an eatery on their respective Facebook. Wong said: “I have wanted to hang out with Chan but did not have the chance. Could not believe our meeting is taking place in Taipei. I am happy to know a new friend in V-Shem. They are the real national treasures.” Chan also posted on his Facebook saying: “It is a happy gathering. We shall meet next time!”
