Academician’s cycling feat may enter Malaysia Book of Records

MELAKA: A 28-year-old lecturer from Manipal International University (MIU) in Nilai, Negri Sembilan, may be recognised as the first assistant professor in the country to cycle solo around peninsular Malaysia.

A native of Bhadrak district in Odisha, India, Sheikh Sahenawaz Sarwan Shameem or better known as SSS Shameem, began his 2,200km expedition from MIU on Jan 31 heading north and arrived back on Feb 14.
