Sarawakian women urged to utilise free health screenings

KUCHING: Only 47% of Malaysian women have taken early detection screening for cervical cancer and more is needed to be done to raise awareness of this issue.

Women, Family and Community Development Minister Datuk Seri Rohani Abdul Karim said according to the 2007-2011 data from the Malaysian National Cancer Registry Report, cervical cancer remained the third most common cancer affecting Malaysian women.
