Sarawak budget to allocate RM6.3bil for infrastructure


These details were revealed by Chief Minister Datuk Patinggi Abang Johari Tun Openg (pic) as he tabled Sarawak’s Budget 2021 in the state assembly. Johari, who is also State Finance and Economic Planning Minister, said next year’s budget would continue to be development biased, of which RM6.3bil or 62% would be for development expenditure.

KUCHING: Sarawak’s infrastructure development will get a major boost with the allocation of some RM6.3bil in the 2021 state budget for development expenditure.

On top of that, some RM5.69bil will be made available under the state alternative funding initiatives for specific projects.
