PetGas appoints two new directors

KUALA LUMPUR: Petronas Gas Bhd (PetGas) has appointed two new directors - Wan Shamilah Wan Muhammad Saidi and Emeliana Dallan Rice Oxley - effective Sept 1.

At the same time, two PetGas directors are stepping down. Datuk Rosli Boni, 60, will retire on Sept 1 while Pramod Kumar Karunakaran, 56, has resigned, having been transferred to Project Rapid within the group.

In filings with Bursa Malaysia, PetGas said Wan Shamilah, 45, had been Petroliam Nasional Bhd (Petronas) head of corporate strategic planning since December 2013.

She joined the national oil corporation in October 1993 as a Petronas Carigali Sdn Bhd finance executive.

From 1995 to 1998, she worked for Morison Stoneham, an accounting firm in England, but rejoined Petronas in 1998 as a manager in group finance and thereafter assumed various positions.

In April 2009 she became Petronas senior general manager (crude oil group) where she was responsible for the global marketing and trading of crude oil.

In August following year she took the post of Petronas Chemicals Group chief financial officer, where she was involved the company’s listing in November 2010.

Meanwhile, Emeliana, 53, began her career at Shell more than 20 years ago specialising in biostratigraphy. The Malaysian joined Petronas in June 2012 as vice-president of Exploration Malaysia.

In April this year, she was appointed as vice president of Petronas Exploration to deliver the company’s growth strategy through organic growth in Malaysia and international ventures.
