French authorities inspect the debris believed to be a Boeing 777 wing span on Reunion Island

In a statement released on Thursday afternoon, the family members hoped that the search for the plane would continue as promised by the authorities regardless of whether the debris are confirmed to be from the Beijing-bound airliner that disappeared mysteriously on March 8 last year.

Cheng Liping, whose husband Ju Kun was a passenger, told The Star that the families would not believe that the debris belonged to MH370.
