Fined RM20 for two-sen arrears

SEREMBAN: Eighty-year-old Peggy Lim has been slapped with a RM20 fine by the Port Dickson Municipal Council (MPPD) for “defaulting” on her half-yearly assessment. She had paid two sen less than the amount on the bill.

Even that was due to the Government’s 2007 decision to round up or round down bills to the nearest five sen.
