Cow's head found in front of Rayer's house

GEORGE TOWN: A skinned and bloodied cow's head was found in front of DAP's Seri Delima assemblyman R.S.N Rayer's house here early Saturday.

It is learnt that Rayer's wife discovered the severed head around 7am.

Rayer posted a photograph on his Facebook page around 8am and wrote: "This morning I found a cow head at the front gate of my house ......"

Rayer is a Hindu. Cows are considered sacred and holy for the Hindus.

The assemblyman was at the centre of a controversy recently when he labelled Umno "celaka" during the state assembly sitting on May 20.

The following day saw a group of protesters entering the building after violently shaking the gate open. They then entered the chambers looking for Rayer, who was not around.
