PETALING JAYA: A picture of an Indonesia woman praying on a flyover near the Dewan Bahasa dan Pustaka building has gone viral, according to The Star media group’s Bahasa Malaysia portal, mStar Online.
The woman identified as Anita Shiar, 27, was seen wearing a telekung (prayer outfit worn by Muslim women) and reading the al-Quran. The picture was shared on social media sites since Saturday afternoon.
It is learnt that Anita had the habit of praying following a dream that evil would befall her.
Dang Wangi police chief ACP Zainuddin Ahmad confirmed receiving the report over the incident.
He said there was no identification document on the woman and that she was sent to the Hospital Kuala Lumpur (HKL) for examination.
mStar Online quoted an HKL spokesman as saying that the woman was receiving treatment at the hospital.
