PETALING JAYA: Police busted an entertainment centre offering vice activities for the third time this year and arrested 34 guest relations officers (GRO) in Kota Damansara, Friday night.
The raiding party led by ASP Mohd Nazri Daud rounded up the women, 16 from Thailand and 18 locals, along with the owner of the centre at around 11.35pm.
Kota Damansara police station chief Insp Mohd Khairul Zaman Wahab said the centre was popular, with about 50 customers at the time of the raid.
“Sexual services were negotiated between the customers and the women.
“The women were age between 22 and 38. The Thai GROs were found not to have proper documents or passports.
“We believe they were brought into the country through an agent,” he said, adding that the centre did not have an operating license.
Those arrested are being held at the Petaling Jaya police district headquarters, while the case is being investigated under Section 39B and 55b of the Immigration Act.
