PETALING JAYA: A young woman experienced a traumatic taxi ride when the driver forced her to fondle him during her ride home.
It is learnt that the 20-year-old call centre employee boarded a taxi on Jan 28 around 7pm near Jalan Metro Prima in Kepong after shopping for groceries.
It is learnt that the woman, who was sitting in the front seat, started feeling uncomfortable when he began making lewd comments at her.
The driver, believed to be in his 70s, allegedly rubbed her thigh while spewing vulgarities as he placed a knife on the car's dashboard.
He then allegedly grabbed her hand and placed it on his private parts.
The woman attempted to pull her hand away, but the man brandished the knife, threatening to hurt her if she refused to cooperate.
Her nightmare ride ended when they reached the woman's house, where the driver threatened her to keep mum over the incident.
He did not charge her for the ride home.
When contacted, acting city CID chief Asst Comm Khairi Ahrasa confirmed that police had received the report and said the case was being investigated under Section 354 of the Penal Code for using criminal force with intent to outrage modesty.
"We are doing our best to track down the culprit," said ACP Khairi.
