Labourer pleads not guilty to causing death of wife


ALOR SETAR: A Myanmar national pleaded not guilty at the Sessions Court here to causing the death of his wife on Jan 26, this year.

Masali Abdul Sukor, 39, a labourer was charged with causing the death of his 30-year-old Indonesian wife, Elna Reti Anfal, not amounting to murder under Section 304 (a) of the Penal Code at their house in Kampung Imam, Jitra.

At the same court, Masali pleaded not guilty to possessing a Samurai sword at a shophouse in Jitra on Jan 27. Judge Azhar Mokhtar fixed March 10 for mention of the two cases.
