IPOH: An elderly man fell to his death on a hiking trip up Gunung Suku, located between Cameron Highlands and Simpang Pulai about 35km from here.
Ipoh OCPD Asst Comm Sum Chang Keong said Lee Kar Giap, 61, from Petaling Jaya, accidentally fell as he and 27 others were making their way back down the hill on Sunday at about 4pm.
"One of the expedition members was a doctor, and he confirmed Lee's demise," he said, adding that the group had started their hike at 9am the same day.
"Prior to that, they had informed the Raja Permaisuri Bainun Hospital about the accident," he added.
ACP Sum said the body was being sent to the hospital for a post-mortem.
