What are we transforming Malaysia to become? Simply put, the answer is “we are transforming Malaysia to become a high income economy that is inclusive and sustainable in order to improve the quality of life for all Malaysians”. This is the essence of the New Economic Model or NEM, which was announced when Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak became Prime Minister.
