PETALING JAYA: Malaysia's squash queen Nicol David's hopes of getting the better of world number three Vanessa Atkinson of Holland in the Texas Open in Houston was dashed on Friday.
Nicol, ranked eighth in the world, lost in straight sets 6-9, 2-9, 5-9 to Atkinson in the quarter-finals. It was Nicol's fourth consecutive defeat to the Dutch woman in the professional circuit in two years.
