LYON: Celtic coach Martin O'Neill blamed referee Urs Meier for his side's failure to qualify for the knockout phase of the Champions League after they were beaten by a disputed late penalty here on Wednesday.
The Glasgow side's big defender Bobo Balde was adjudged by Swiss referee Meier to have knocked the ball away with his arm in an aerial challenge and a penalty was awarded four minutes from time.
