Players' promise to work harder for Olympics qualifiers prompts German's return


In a week of flurried activity, national senior hockey coach Paul Lissek was removed from his job and then quickly reinstated as local coaches turned down the job and the players threatened to quit as well. Much has been said in the interim. The players have been called unpatriotic, the coach has been branded a failure. STARSPORT's S. RAMAGURU talks to the German. 

KUALA LUMPUR: When the news broke, it wasa shock. National hockey coach Paul Lissek hadbeen removed from his coach by his paymastersthe National Sports Council. The coach left thecountry and the Malaysian Hockey Federation(MHF)were left holding a screaming baby theydid not know to pacify.
