LONDON (Reuters) - After a month in which they lost their top goalscorer and suffered two demoralising defeats, Swansea City manager Garry Monk was happy to get back to basics with a surprise 1-0 win at Southampton in the Premier League on Sunday.

A stunning Jonjo Shelvey goal seven minutes from time handed the Welsh club victory at the St Mary's Stadium after they had withstood heavy pressure from fourth-placed Southampton, who dominated large parts of the game.
