Muhyiddin: Declaration of Emergency not due to politics, appropriate move in response to health crisis

PUTRAJAYA: Yang di-Pertuan Agong Al-Sultan Abdullah Ri’ayatuddin Al-Mustafa Billah Shah has assented to an emergency to be declared in Gerik, Perak, and Bugaya, Sabah, thus postponing the by-elections for the two seats.
KOTA KINABALU: The Sabah government fully supports the decision to declare a state of emergency for Bugaya which puts the by-election on hold to avoid further spread of Covid-19.
IPOH: Perak Mentri Besar Datuk Saarani Mohamad has thanked the Yang di-Pertuan Agong for consenting to declare a state of emergency in Gerik and postponing the by-election there scheduled for Jan 16 next year.
