New Zealand annual inflation hits 4%

WELLINGTON (AP) - Rising petrol and food prices pushed New Zealand's annual inflation rate to 4 percent in the year that ended June 30, after the Consumer Price Index rose a higher-than-expected 1.6 percent in the latest quarter, the government said Tuesday.

July CPI down 2.4%
