The Sessions Court in Johor Baru meted out the maximum sentence - 20 years' jail and 24 strokes of the rotan - on the rapist of 10-year-old Nurulhuda Abdul Ghani. Security guard Mohd Abbas Danus Baksan, 47, admitted that he raped the young girl at a guardhouse in Kampung Pekajang, Tanjung Kupang, Gelang Patah, between 9.20am and 1pm on Jan 17.
