LOS ANGELES, Oct. 26 (Xinhua) -- Losses for the U.S. retail industry from crime, violence and theft reached 112.1 billion U.S. dollars in 2022, according to a recent report released by the National Retail Federation (NRF), which has designated Oct. 26 as "Fight Retail Crime Day."
NRF's National Retail Security Survey, now in its 32nd year, said retail is the nation's largest private-sector employer, contributing 3.9 trillion dollars to annual GDP and supporting one in four U.S. jobs -- 52 million working Americans.
