Kenya marks 25th anniversary of U.S. embassy bombing, demands for compensation


NAIROBI, Aug. 7 (Xinhua) -- Kenya on Monday marked the 25th anniversary of the bombing of the U.S. Embassy in Nairobi, the capital of Kenya, and demanded compensation by the U.S. government.

Agnes Kavindu, chairperson of the Senate Ad Hoc Committee that is pushing for compensation to the Kenyan victims of the 1998 U.S. Embassy bombing, told journalists that the majority of the victims were innocent Kenyans.
