BERLIN, Feb. 3 (Xinhua) -- Ambiente, the world's leading trade fair for consumer goods associated with dining, cooking and household items returned to Frankfurt on Friday after a three-year break due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
This year, the fair's main focus is on sustainability.
The Messe Frankfurt exhibition center was "packed to the rafters" with 4,561 exhibitors from 160 countries and regions presenting trends, innovations and new product ideas for retailers "from all over the world," Messe Frankfurt Managing Director Detlef Braun said in a statement.
For the first time, Ambiente is held in parallel with the trade shows Christmasworld and Creativeworld. A new hall has been added to the exhibition grounds for the start of the shows that run until Feb. 7, making the trio event "the world's largest trade fair platform of its kind."
The exhibitors include scores of Chinese companies, such as Joyye Arts and Crafts, a ceramics tableware and homeware manufacturer based in Guangzhou, south China's Guangdong province, design product specialist Xiamen Housemart Manufacture, and kitchenware maker Zhejiang Bairun Kitchenware.
