KOLKATA (Reuters) - At least six people have been killed in post-election violence in India's West Bengal state, police officials said on Wednesday, after a regional group beat Prime Minister Narendra Modi's party in a bitterly fought contest.
The regional Trinamool Congress (TMC) retained control of the populous eastern state in results declared on Sunday, with Modi's Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) emerging as the main opposition there for the first time.
