BEIJING: A jobless man was detained Monday in northeast China for allegedly bombing a popular fast-food chain after blackmailing it, state media reported, the latest act of suspected violence by disaffected citizens.
Zhu Shibin used "black powder disassembled from firecrackers" to make the bomb, which was detonated at Dico's restaurant in Anda City in Heilongjiang province Sunday morning, Xinhua news agency said, citing police.
