Hong Kong comic Stephen Chow surprised fans by announcing that he will be collaborating with King of Mandopop Jay Chou, reported Sin Chew Daily.

The 60-year-old actor and filmmaker posted a photo of himself and Chou holding a six-litre bottle of white wine.

“Heroes from everywhere please help to brainstorm. Jay and I plan to work together. Apart from selling wine, what else can we do?” he wrote on social media.

Eagled-eyed fans were quick to point out that the bottle in the photo was a 1993 Montrachet Domaine de la Romanee-Conti, of which only 3,000 bottles were produced that year.

Each 750ml bottle reputedly costs HK$100,000 (RM57,377) and the one Chow is holding is estimated to be worth HK$1mil (RM573,775).

Fans were excited by their announcement, with many saying they look forward to seeing Chou appear in the next Stephen Chow film.

“Whatever they sell, I will buy,” one netizen wrote.

Chow is a household name in Hong Kong, and is best known for his slapstick humour showcased in blockbusters such as Fight Back to School, From Beijing with Love, King of Comedy, Shaolin Soccer, Kung Fu Hustle, CJ7, Journey to the West and The Mermaid.

> A man in Thailand hanged himself after his wife pretended to cheat on him, reported China Press.

According to local media, the 49-year-old woman from Koh Samet island pretended to chat with a Korean man in a bid to make her husband jealous.

She told the husband that she will leave him if he does not work harder.

The woman, known only as May, 49, even posted her supposed conversations with the man on Facebook.

Angry and sad, the husband took out some nylon rope and threatened to hang himself.

The woman snatched the rope and promised there was nothing between her and the Korean man to placate her husband.

However, she was shocked to receive a call from the police later as they found what appeared to be a suicide note on the husband’s Facebook account.

“I hope everyone gets to be happy. He (the Korean man) is a good person, but I am not. Goodbye,” he wrote.

May rushed home and found a set of footprints leading into a nearby forest where she found her husband who had died.
