Judge wants more submissions in Musa’s suit over state assembly

KOTA KINABALU: The High Court here wants further arguments on whether it has judicial authority to hear and decide on the bid by 33 assemblymen to challenge the decision of the head of state to dissolve the state legislative assembly.

Sarawak-based High Court judge Judicial Commissioner Leonard Chin had asked for more written submissions from lawyers from both sides on the justiciability whether it could or could not look into the powers of the Yang di-Pertua Negeri to dissolve the state assembly.
