PETALING JAYA: The 36-year-old man who is allegedly sexually grooming underage girls sees no harm in his actions and says his “caring messages” have been misunderstood.

“I am actually very straightforward and friendly. I think my actions have been misunderstood,” he told The Star.

He admitted to contacting underage girls for many years, but said he had not done anything paedophilic or harmful.

In fact, he said, it was the comments against him and people’s advice over the years that were inappropriate.

“I don’t have any sickness. My intention is to look for companionship,” he said.

He also said he knew the girls were underaged, but he was only looking for a connection.

“Age is just a number,” he added.

He said he was looking for companionship like a “brother and sister”, and he was offering to help the girls and give them protection.

“I am the kind of person who will talk to everyone,” he said, adding that he “cares for the people”.
