PETALING JAYA: Bukit Aman, which will continue with its drills as part of the preparations for the general election, has cautioned the public not to get the wrong idea about such exercises.
They should not believe videos about “unrest” or “chaos” in the country when it was actually the police conducting drills, said its Management Department director Comm Datuk Seri Abdul Ghafar Rajab.
“Irresponsible parties which spread the videos and claimed it was an emergency situation may cause panic among the public.
“Nothing good can come from spreading such false news,” he said in a statement yesterday.
Other preparations for the elections include organising courses for police personnel.
He added that the logistical and manpower needs were also sufficient.
