Ipoh Indian community treated to rare art form


THE Indian community in Ipoh, Perak, were treated to a rare performance of Villu Pattu at a concert organised by Subash Chandra Bose Cultural Centre in collaboration with Greentown Indian Cultural Association, Malaysia Nanban repor­ted.

Villu Pattu is a South Indian song format that uses simple prose to tell stories and requires a villu, or archer’s bow string, for the backing music.
