PETALING JAYA: Malaysia Airlines denied that it did not give any prior notice to the next of kin before authorities declared that everyone on board MH370 was “presumed dead”.

“Prior to the scheduled announcement by Civil Aviation Department, all next of kin were notified via tele­phone calls. And, in certain instan­ces, by text messages when the calls went unanswered,” MAS said in a statement.
