JOHOR BARU: Two more people have been detained over the murder of former Tenggaroh assemblyman Datuk S. Krishnasamy in January.

A police task force under Ops Tenggaroh raided a house in Malacca and arrested the two men, in their 30s, at about 3am Friday.

State police chief Deputy Comm Datuk Mohd Mokhtar said both men were detained to facilitate investigations over the slaying of Krishnasamy, the former state deputy MIC chairman.

“Let us investigate the matter. We urge everyone not to speculate,” he told pressmen at the state police headquarters here.

He refused to comment when asked if the two men were MIC members or related to Krishnasamy.

On Tuesday, a 46-year-old man, who is a senior MIC leader, was detained in Kluang over the case.

“We hope to wrap up the case as soon as possible,” he said, adding that the public should continue supplying the police with information.

Krishnasamy was shot under the left eyebrow just as he entered the lift at the state MIC building in Johor Baru on Jan 11.
