A “PEOPLE’S referendum” to decide the status of an elected representative who has defected is the most democratic way to resolve any looming political crises, says a non-governmental organisation leader.
Former Bersih chairman Thomas Fann, who now heads Engage, an organisation promoting democracy, human rights and citizen participation, says there are three possible solutions to strengthen the anti-party hopping law.
