Khoo says the location of CCEC in Bangsar South has given it the opportunity to grow.
UOA Hospitality Sdn Bhd, a subsidiary of property developer UOA Group, is expanding its event and conference portfolio at The Vertical Bangsar South and with the rebranding of its event spaces to Connexion Conference and Event Centre (CCEC).
Building on the success of the first phase launched in 2014, this expansion at The Vertical Bangsar South allows the CCEC to offer more than 200,000sq ft in event space.
The CCEC encompasses the total facilities of Connexion@Nexus launched in 2014 and the new facilities in The Vertical building.
The launch of phase two of the development at The Vertical Bangsar South is timely as Malaysia aims to break into the top five position in Asia Pacific in the International Congress and Convention Association’s global ranking by 2020.
Apart from a wide variety of space options, the CCEC also features a dynamic event planning team and brand new, state-of-the-art facilities built to fulfil the demand for a central venue suitable for all kinds of activities including business, social and leisure.

CCEC has five ballrooms, 15 function rooms, an auditorium with seating capacity of 298, gazebo and concierge.
“Over the past two years, we have honed our versatility and capabilities by catering for a wide variety of events.
“Right now, we are confident that we can offer CCEC as a venue of choice with the space options that we have.
“The total gross development value for CCEC at The Vertical is RM60.5mil,” Khoo added.
