Nepal embassy marks Wesak Day

The Nepal Embassy commemorated Wesak Day with a ceremony at a hall in Jalan Vivekananda, Kuala Lumpur.

Buddhist chief high priest of Malaysia Venerable Datuk K. Sri Dhammaratana conducted a meditation session with other monks from Nepal, Myanmar and Malaysia.

The event, organised with Non-Resident Nepali Association of Malaysia, was attended by over 350 members of the Nepali community as well as several ambassadors and high commissioners.

It included a slideshow of current developments at Lumbini, the birthplace of Buddha, which is located in southern Nepal and recognised as a living World Heritage Site by Unesco.
