THE new year brings new challenges, and various authorities will be looking to implement new programmes and projects.

With a budget of RM190mil, Selangor will focus on the lower income group in 2018. The bigger portion -- at RM120mil -- is allocated for Peduli Sihat, which provides free healthcare to the needy whereby cardholders can visit more than 1,000 private hospitals and clinics. Those eligible for this programme are households earning below RM3,000 monthly.
