ALR reaches understanding with Kesas, Sprint and Litrak on warranty claims: Gamuda


KUALA LUMPUR: Amanat Lebuhraya Rakyat Bhd (ALR) has reached an understanding with Kesas Holdings Bhd (Kesas), Sistem Penyuraian Trafik KL Barat Holdings Sdn Bhd (Sprint) and Lingkaran Trans Kota Holdings Bhd (Litrak) pertaining to warranty claims by ALR, said Gamuda Bhd.

In a filing with Bursa Malaysia today, Gamuda said Kesas has agreed to accept the claims from ALR relating to survey fees and vehicle replacement totalling RM1.25 million.

On ALR’s claim on land-related matters, the filing said Kesas has agreed to, jointly with Gamuda, resolve the matter with the government under the concession agreement terms. Pending the resolution, ALR shall retain a sum of RM960,000 while agreeing to waive any interest payable by ALR on the amount.

Meanwhile, Sprint has agreed to accept all the claims from ALR totalling RM2.02 million involving final survey fees for right of way gazette, replacement of police expressway mobile patrol vehicles and enhancement of RFID lanes, it said.

As for Litrak, it has agreed to accept the claims from ALR relating to police expressway mobile patrol vehicles replacement and enhancement/installation of RFID lanes worth RM1.65 million.

"With respect to ALR’s claim on land premium under Notice 5A of the National Land Code, Litrak and ALR have agreed to, jointly with Gamuda, resolve the matter with the government under the concession agreement terms.

"Pending the resolution, ALR shall retain a sum of RM8.41 million. Litrak has agreed to waive any interest payable by ALR on the retained amount,” it added. - Bernama
