Cypark auditor resigns after audit fee disagreement


KUALA LUMPUR: The external auditor of Cypark Resources Bhd, Messrs. Baker Tilly Monteiro Heng PLT (Baker Tilly) has resigned due to a disagreement on audit fees.

In a filing with Bursa Malaysia, Cypark said the term of the office of Baker Tilly shall end on Oct 24, which is 21 days from the date of notice of resignation pursuant to Section 281(2) of the Companies Act 2016.

“The resignation of Baker Tilly is on a voluntary basis and made on the ground of disagreement on unreasonable audit fees,” Cypark said.

It added that the company has identified the new external auditors and is currently in the midst of appointing them pursuant to Section 271(2) of the Companies Act 2016.
