Singapore Parliament declares climate change a global emergency

SINGAPORE (The Straits Times/ANN): The Workers' Party (WP) has called on Parliament to declare a climate emergency, and for Singapore to take bolder action to combat climate change.

Speaking during Monday's (Feb 1) debate on a motion on climate change moved by People's Action Party MPs, WP's Dennis Tan (Hougang) also called for civil society to be expressly included in the Government's climate change response.
