Thai police arrest 11 drug traffickers, seize colossal amount of drugs


BANGKOK, July 7 (Xinhua): Thailand's Narcotic Suppression Bureau announced on Tuesday that 11 suspects had been arrested, and about 1.5 million methamphetamine pills, 2.4 tons of cannabis, six kg of ketamine as well as 200 million-baht (US$6.4 million) worth of assets were seized in three separate drug trafficking cases during Thailand's long weekend holiday.

The first case involved two suspects who were arrested with possession of 400 kg of compressed cannabis hidden in their blue Hyundai van in Thailand's northeast province of Sakon Nakhon.
