KUALA LUMPUR: The Badminton Association of Malaysia (BAM) have pulled off a huge surprise by naming a relatively young team to the Thomas Cup qualifiers.

Seasoned campaigners Lee Chong Wei, Chong Wei Feng, Goh V Shem-Tan Wee Kiong, Koo Kien Keat-Tan Boon Heong are out of the Asia Team Championships in Hyderabad, India, from Feb 15-21. The tournament serves as a qualifier for the Finals in Kunshan, China, from May 15-22.
