I REFER to the letter “It pays to put financial deals on paper” (The Star, Sept 1). Some of my wife’s friends paid their fees in advance to a large beauty company a few months ago.
Out of the blue, they were told that the company’s management had changed and they were requested to pay another 30% to top up their balance in order to continue using the company’s services. On top of that, the previous privileges accorded to them were also revoked.
