Ensure lifts in all high-rise buildings are working well

I REFER to a recent article where flat dwellers were told to promptly pay their maintenance fees etc. so that the government agencies concerned will ensure the apartments amenities, including lifts, will be well maintained. I support this.

However, I was appalled when l visited a friend living in the Pelangi Damansara flats recently. I could not believe that this was in Petaling Jaya. The main entrance area was filthy and dirty with big garbage bins overflowing.
