IN the past 18 months, global oil prices have seen a reduction of about 73% from US$110 to US$30.
Although local petrol prices have been declining in the last few months, the rate of decline has not corresponded with the falling global oil prices. In other words, why are vehicle owners not enjoying the full benefits of the price reduction at the petrol pumps? The oil companies, oil intermediaries and petrol stations do owe us an explanation for this huge variance.
