Villagers find body of woman after suspected crocodile attack in Kalabakan district

KOTA KINABALU: A woman was killed after she was reportedly attacked by a crocodile in Sabah's east coast Kalabakan district.

Villagers of Kg Serudung Laut recovered the mauled body of the 22-year-old woman around 8am Sunday (Oct 10). She was reported missing since Saturday evening (Oct 9).

The Sabah Fire and Rescue Department said that it received a distress call about a woman being attacked by a crocodile at 8.18pm on Saturday.

The department said the victim's body was found by residents about 300m from the location where she was reportedly attacked.

The victim's body was handed over to the police for further action.
