Federal Court declines Selangor's application to obtain voter information from EC


PUTRAJAYA: The Selangor government will not be obtaining the information of over 100,000 voters in the state, in relation to a judicial review over the proposed redelineation exercise of Parliamentary and state seats.

In the Federal Court here Wednesday, Chief Justice Tun Md Raus Sharif dismissed the Selangor government's application to compel the Election Commission (EC) to provide information on locality codes and names of 136,272 Selangor voters in 1994 and 2003 over the redelineation exercise in the state.
