KUALA LUMPUR: Sidang Injil Borneo (SIB) has applied for the discovery of documents which lead to the Cabinet's decision in 1986 to ban the use of the word “Allah” in publications by religions other than Islam.

In submissions to the High Court today, SIB's lead counsel Lim Heng Seng said the dispute had serious questions that could only be answered by those documents, which would in turn be essential for the court to consider in coming to its decision.
