Duo jailed and fined for bribing anti-drug agency officer

ALOR SETAR: A Grab driver and a former storekeeper were slapped with RM10,000 fines each and one day in jail on Tuesday after they pleaded guilty to a charge of bribing a National Anti-Drug Agency (AADK) officer, some two years ago.

Goh Yee Chian, 28, and Yong Kim Loong, 39, a Grab driver in Penang, pleaded guilty to the offence of bribing the enforcement officer, Azmeer Syaufi Ruslan, at the Bukit Kayu Hitam Immigration, Customs and Quarantine Complex in exchange for not taking any action after their urine test positive for drugs.
