GEORGE TOWN: A Penang Island City Council (MBPP) worker allegedly conned a Myanmar woman into performing oral sex on him by claiming to be a policeman.
The man, who was in plain clothes, approached the 25-year-old woman on his motorcycle while she was walking alone near a field in Bandar Baru Air Itam at 10.30am on Monday.
“Identifying himself as a policeman, he asked the woman where she was going and whether she had her passport with her.
“He then told her to get on his motorcycle and took her to an empty unit on the 17th floor of an apartment block in Jalan Thean Teik nearby,” George Town OCPD Asst Comm Anuar Omarsaid yesterday.
At the unit, the 22-year-old council worker told the woman to strip naked. He took off his shirt, dropped his pants and told her to perform oral sex.
After he had satisfied himself and the victim got dressed, he told her to hand over her earrings and a gold necklace.
“When they were waiting for the lift to leave the apartment, a suspicious resident confronted them.
“After finding out what had happened, the resident told the impostor to return the jewellery to the woman, and called the police,” ACP Anuar said.
The suspect, who is an ordinary worker at MBPP, was brought to the courthouse here yesterday where police obtained a remand order to detain him until Sunday for investigation.
ACP Anuar said the victim, who works at a shop making local pastries, was sent to the hospital for examination.
The case is investigated under Section 377B of the Penal Code for committing carnal intercourse against the order of nature.
